Jakhoo or Jakhu temple is the religious place of Shimla. Dedicated to God Hanuman, it is also known as Hanuman Temple or Monkey Temple. Every year, a grand Dushera celebration happens here. An interesting fact which is told about this place is, Hanuman rested here for some time which he had gone to search Sanjeevani Booti to save Laxman’s live. The best attraction of this temple is the statue of Hanuman which is situated at the height of over 8,000 feet. This place is also the home of thousands of monkeys. Institute of Advanced Study

Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) Shimla is India’s well-known research center that offers post-doctoral courses. The building was built during 1884-1888 and was being used to hold important political meetings by the British Government. The main attraction of the institute is the teak-paneled interiors which are extremely unique and beautiful. The building has a decorated reception hall, grand staircase, entrance portico, fireplace and other areas like drawing room, ballroom, and the wood-paneled dining room and an indoor tennis court.
