Kasauli is a beautiful Hill Station to visit with family and a perfect honeymoon destination too. Summer is the best time to visit Kasauli. This is a small town in Himachal Pradesh, so it doesn’t get much crowded not even in summer holidays. The lush greenery and beautiful mountains is the main attraction of this place. Kasauli is the nearest hill station of Delhi. The road distance is around 293 km to reach Kasauli from Delhi. If you are planning your trip from Delhi to Kasauli, you can go either go by bus, train or car. There is no direct train or bus from Delhi to Kasauli hill station. You can take Kalka Shatabdi from New Delhi to Kalka then hire a cab from Kalka to Kasauli. For bus also, you have to reach Ambala Cantt from Delhi, then hire a cab service from there for Kasauli.

Apart from the monkey spotting point, there is a Hanuman Temple and Air Force station. The entry to Air Force station is restricted, you need a special permit to visit the place. From this highest point of Kasauli, you can have amazing views of the entire valley, views of Chandigarh city and Satluj River.

Sunset Point

The church is also famous for its beautiful architecture. The older name of the Christ Church was Anglican Church which was renamed in 1970. There is a big courtyard with lot of greenery in front of the church where visitors can do photography as well. Also, beware of monkeys in the courtyard. Mall Road

Mall Road is the main shopping market to Kasauli which is about 3.5km. Vehicles are not allowed on this road. Tourists love buying here handicraft items. Homemade foods like jams are jellies are also famous in Kasauli. This market also offers best quality woolens which attract the tourists a lot. The road remains busy especially in summers with the hustle bustle of tourists. At the end of the road, there are 2-3 restaurants also where you can relax and eat.

Gurudwara Shri Nanak Ji

Gurudwara Shri Nanak Ji is a religious place of Sikhs living in Kasauli. This gurudwara is also a famous tourist spot of Kasauli. Gurudwara Shri Nanak Ji is located at Gharkhal Bazaar on the main road towards Kasauli. Every Sunday, a special program is organized in the Gurudwara Shri Nanak Ji. The Gurudwara also offers the accommodation facilities for the tourists. The Gurudwara can be visited during any hour of the day. Tourists can also enjoy food/langar in the Gurudwara.

Gilbert Trail
